Noida International University hosts Edu-Leaders Summit organised by Educlouds & Skillshare India

Greater Noida, 31.10.2022: Leading higher education institute, Noida International University, hosted Edu-Leaders Summit, which was organised by Educlouds—an organisation dedicated towards digitally enhancing teaching-learning experience and Skillshare India—a learning community for creators. The high-profile event took place in the sprawling campus of Noida International University here and was attended by distinguished personalities, including NIU officials and foreign guests from more than six countries.

The program started with presidential addresses by Founder of Educlouds Mr. Sparsh Garg and CEO of Skillshare India Ms. Monika Kapoor. This was followed by welcome address and introduction by senior University officials – Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Singh, Chancellor, and Prof. (Dr.) UmaBhardwaj, Vice-Chancellor.

The lamp lighting ceremony was done in the presence of Chief Guest Dr. KiritPremjibhai Solanki, Member of Parliament, Parliamentary Committee on Welfare of Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. International delegates and University delegates also participated in the ceremony.

The Chief Guest and International Guests were welcomed and facilitated by senior University officials. This was followed by announcement of MoU and felicitation of dignitaries of NIU by Educlouds and Skillshare India. Educlouds and Skillshare India were also felicitated by NIU, in exchange.

NIU Chancellor Prof. (Dr.) Vikram Singh said, “We always strive to give our students the best platform so that they excel in everything they do. With NEP in place, the dream of education will reach every nook and cranny of the nation.”

Commenting on the occasion, NIU VC, Prof. (Dr.) UmaBhardwaj said, “We feel elated to share platform with educators and brilliant visionaries from other countries, who know the value of new technologies that are defining the education landscape.”

Highlighting the role of NEP 2020 in imparting skill-based learning in educational institutions, she said, “Collaboration is a must for the future of education. Virtual is the new normal and with NEP, the whole education scenario is changing at the grassroots level as this policy bridges the gap between secondary and tertiary education. NEP gives room to creativity. Here, the combination of choice of subjects is given to students in a way that makes them future-ready so that they can go ahead with whatever they aim to pursue.”

Quoting Dr. BR Ambedkar, Chief Guest Dr. Kirit Premjibhai Solanki said, “Education is the milk of the tigress. Once you have drunk it, you cannot but roar. This summit will give the much-needed push to our education system.” Praising the NEP rolled by the Government, he said, “Our young generation should stay grounded and know Hindi, our mother tongue, without which they will be unaware of their roots. I am pleased to be a part of this summit, and I believe this is going to be successful in playing its role towards improving the quality of education.”

The event also had a book launch and panel discussion on ‘Future of Education’ where foreign delegates and Prof. (Dr.) Parsanjeet Kumar, Pro-ViceChancellor participated along with NIU Chancellor and Vice-Chancellor. The delegates represented Romania, Georgia, Belgium, and Malaysia, among others. Witnessing participation from over 100 principals and educationists across the nation, the event also included an award ceremony to mark their contribution in the field of education.

Apart from cultural performance and musical band, a session by Mr. Nitin Goyal (Founder at Exposure School of Photography) on how to click better photographs from phone, added to the overall charm of the event. Mr. Ankit Singhal (Co-founder & Director Afterschool Innovations) held a session on how 3D printing and AI will be the biggest asset of NEP 2020. The event concluded with tea.
