Bengaluru, 21 November 2022: In its continued effort to support and celebrate budding artists in the city, the Brigade Group today unveiled a 3D art painting by renowned artist Badal Nanjundaswamy at Orion Mall at Brigade Gateway. The 3D printing, an illusion of an African elephant, was unveiled by Ms. Nirupa Shankar, Joint Managing Director, Brigade Enterprises Ltd., at the lakeside near the entrance of the mall.

Speaking on the occasion, Sunil Munshi, Vice President – Of retail, at Brigade Group said “In the years since our inception, we have been drawn, slowly but steadily, into the fascinating space of art and culture. Brigade’s involvement with art began with a modest collection of paintings, photographs, and sculptures by artists from Karnataka. We commissioned murals to adorn our buildings and we also constructed buildings to showcase the arts. Our passion for the arts led us to set up India’s only interactive music museum ‘The Indian Music Experience Museum. We have also played host to many memorable musics, dance, and theatrical performances by prominent and aspiring artists at our MLR Convention Centres.

At Orion Malls, we continuously work towards giving our customers exciting and valuable shopping experiences. Since Badal Nanjundaswamy is known for his unique paintings, we thought it would be appropriate to showcase his spectacular work in our mall to create an element of excitement that would appeal to all. We chose the 3D elephant art, as it represents good fortune, strength, health, and happiness. The 3D art installation will also be a great photo opportunity.”

Speaking about the initiative Badal Nanjundaswamy said, “This is one of my most unique presentations, as it is not very often that I do such 3D art paintings in association with a mall. I am grateful to Brigade Group for giving me the opportunity to be part of their initiative to spread happiness, excitement, and blessings to their customers. I am happy to share my talent for the benefit of the public and look forward to putting up many more in the future.”

Badal Nanjundaswamy is known for his ability to use art that mainly creates awareness about social and local issues that the common man faces. His works always carry a unique message to create awareness.
