Hyderabad,  June 2022: IIID – Hyderabad Regional Chapter, is hosting the Fourth Edition of its prestigious flagship event “IIID Showcase Insider X 2022”, with the theme Telangana Art and Craft, from the 3rd to 5th June 2022 at Hitex Exhibition Centre. The Exhibition was formally inaugurated by the Chief Guest Mr Somesh Kumar, IAS, Chief Secretary, Government of Telangana, today.

Mr Somesh Kumar speaking on the occasion said, each and every stall I visited at the IIID Showcase Insider X 2022 was very interesting and raised my inquisitiveness to know more about the developments in the interior designing field to make our living spaces more conducive and pleasant, it has been a great learning experience. As a district collector of Anantapur I used to work towards betterment of the craftsmen involved in leather puppetry in that district. The presence of these craftsmen here in the Showcase, with you Architects and Interior Designers taking the initiative to support them and incorporate in their works, goes a long way in their betterment. The social concern I saw here at the IIID Showcase Insider X 2022, of trying to utilise the local material and involving the local artisans is commendable. Any visitor coming from any part of the world to Telangana is presented with the local artifacts to popularise them. The use of alternate material like bamboo for all sorts of furniture and structures created here is very innovative and popularises the utility of bamboo. If we can cocreate things where the artifacts are taken from local artisans and together with them if we design spaces and students right from beginning get involved in these, the entire initiative can reap benefits for all. I am confident that this Expo will be a huge success, with so many architects, interior designers, exhibitors and general public evincing enormous interest in it.

The Chairperson of IIID HRC Ar. Manoj Wahi said, with the dark side of the pandemic behind us, the interior designing industry is taking off in a very fast way. To bridge the ever increasing demand of the fraternity, the industry and the end users, IIID has created this platform with a meaningful purpose, Connect, Collaborate, Create. All the statistics of growth in the real estate sector point to the fact that Hyderabad is emerging as the numero uno city with respect to development in the country. This speaks volumes of the spirit of the people of this region and the commitment and focussed efforts of the Government of Telangana. This Showcase the flagship event of IIID Hyderabad will ensure that it further accelerates the growth by acting as a catalyst of change by introducing the latest trends and products for solutions. The overwhelming response of the exhibitors and sponsors for this edition reinforces our vision even further. They are all the leading partners of that category. IIID Showcase was initially conceptualised in the year 2015 and we have. Come a long way from then. To bring this event full circle, we are also partnering with Architecture and Interior Designing colleges and are also workshops to make them part of the mainstream. We are also interacting with the artisans and craftsmen of the region to bring about a change in the way we look at crafts in the modern context.

Hon. Treasurer, IIID-HRC & Convener, IIID Showcase Insider X 2022, Ar. Rakesh Vasu said, this Showcase is conceptualised on the theme of arts and crafts and IIID has always encouraged and promoted the art and craft industry. We have involved artisans from Cheriyal and Pembarth; weavers from Pochampalli and leather puppetry from Anantapur, in the Workshops being conducted for students, designers and architects. IIID is also conducting workshops on bamboo, and the pavilion which we are seated right now is made from bamboo.

Ar. Jabeen Zacharias, National President, IIID; speaking said, if you look at all the things we want to do in IIID, that would mean so many projects and programs, but all of that can be condensed into one single objective we have is to improve the quality of interior design professionals in this country and be useful in upgrading the living standards of people around us. So for this to happen, the basic formula is to bring three entities together, designers who dream, trade which gives wings to our dreams and the end users. Believe me good design is what can change the world. So that way Showcase here bringing designers, Trade and people together is the ultimate act to make our objective happen. IIID Hyderabad Showcase has been set up on par with the world standards.

Hon. Secretary of IIID- Hyderabad Chapter Ar. Praveen Kumar said, IIID – HRC is a 25 year old professional body and this is the 4th edition of Insider X 2022.

The exhibition has over 120 Exhibitors and 500+ Brands from 50+ categories, spread across two halls, showcasing the best and latest trends for interiors. Artisans, weavers and craftsman of the Art & Crafts industry from Cheriyal, Pochampalli and Pembarthy and leather puppetry craftsmen from Anantapur, are showcasing their works for the Design community to make them a part of their offerings. Being the largest such Showcase in the two Telugu states, it is expected to have a footfall of over 4000 visitors from the design and allied fraternity, during the three days. The timings of the Expo on Friday 3rd and Saturday 4th June is from 10.00 am to 5.00 pm exclusively for the design fraternity and is open for General public from 5.00 to 8.00 pm and on Sunday 5th June, its open for both the Business visitors and General public from 10.00 am to 8.00 pm.

Curated by Architects and Interior designers of the Institute of Indian Interior Designers, Hyderabad Chapter, the Expo has been specifically crafted for the interior design, architecture and construction industry. Aims to bring industry professionals and the common man on to a single platform. Spread over three days, the B2B Trade Expo will showcase emerging trends and contemporary design solutions. Interior Designers, Architects, Industry Specifiers, Facility Managers, Builders, Professionals from the Semi Government and Government Sector are its patrons. Professionals from the Design Domain, High Net worth Individuals and the general public as end customers will be attending the B2B and B2C event.
