Kalam Mashelkar Innovation Centre Installed under the Vision of ISRO’s Space Tutor Program at Heritage International School.In order to successfully implement the objective of national education policy,  Heritage International School in Mulshi has set up Maharashtra’s FIRST Space Education Lab.
The Space Lab offers a wide variety of programs on new and emerging technologies such as rocket science, satellite applications, drones, Robotics, virtual reality, 3D printing, aircraft, etc.
The Lab is established by Vyomika Space Academy under the vision of ISRO’s Space tutor program. The Lab will be Inaugurated on Friday, April 21 at 5.00 pm at Heritage International School by Senior Scientist Padma Vibhushan Dr. Raghunath Mashelkar and senior ISRO Space Scientist Dr. T N Suresh Kumar.
In addition, State Higher & Technical Education Minister Chandrakant Patil, School Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar, former Mayor Murlidhar Mohol, Dr. Pratik Mungekar & Vyomika Space CEO Mr. Goving Yadav will also mark their presence during the inauguration ceremony.

Giving this information in the press conference, the director of the school, Kunal Bhilare said that India is now reaching Moon &, Mars and our school want to provide a skill-oriented platform to it’s student to become a scientist of tomorrow. Scientist Dr. Pratik Mungekar, school‘s Administrative Manager, Yashaswini Bhilare, and principal Renu Patil will be present for the inauguration.

In this laboratory Scale Model of ISRO Space Launchers are installed such as SLV 3, ASLV, PSLV, GSLV D1, GSLV MK III, SSLV along with Chandrayaan 1, Mangalyaan 1 satellite model for study purposes. Apart from this, small radio-controlled aircraft like Pushpakyan, Garuda Viman, Gagan Viman, and drones made by Vyomika Space can also be seen. A demonstration of remote piloting of these aircraft will also be shown during the event. Two telescopes have been installed in the laboratory and through this the students will get an opportunity to study various phenomena happening in space. Apart from this, things like robot kits, light following-kit, Bluetooth control robot, quadcopter drone, etc. can be seen in the laboratory.

ISRO-supported activities throughout the year-

Through this laboratory, under ISRO Soace tutor program Vyomica Space Academy will conduct various activities for the students of rural areas throughout the year. ISRO scientists will visit the lab and guide and conduct various experiments with the students. With this, apart from the Heritage International School, students of Mulshi Taluka and other schools in Pune city will also be able to get training in space science.
