SEOUL, February 19th, 2025: Hyundai Card is proud to present “HYUNDAI CARD CULTURE PROJECT 29 TOM SACHS,” from April 25th to September 7th, 2025, at the Dongdaemun Design Plaza (DDP) Exhibition Hall 1. One of contemporary art’s most innovative figures, Sachs brings approximately 200 works to Seoul for the world premiere of his fifth mission to space, Space Program: Infinity.
“HYUNDAI CARD CULTURE PROJECT” is Hyundai Card’s cultural marketing brand dedicated to showcasing innovative and experimental cultural icons across various disciplines, including music, theater, fine art, dance, architecture, and film. Since 2011, Hyundai Card has presented a diverse range of cultural projects, including performances by Kraftwerk and exhibitions featuring the works of film directors Stanley Kubrick and Tim Burton, and fashion designer Jean Paul Gaultier. “HYUNDAI CARD CULTURE PROJECT 29 TOM SACHS” marks the return of the celebrated series after a seven-year hiatus, following The Weeknd’s performance in 2018.
Based in New York City, Tom Sachs is renowned for his intricate bricolage sculptures and immersive, singular worlds. Using his studio’s standard materials like plywood, foamcore, cardboard, tape and resin, Sachs meticulously recontextualizes iconic and everyday objects, from Mars rovers to teacups, to make inimitable and unforgettable works of art. His Space Programs enable viewers to experience the visceral thrill of exploring the vastness of space while venturing into a transcendental and self-reflective realm.
Space Program: Infinity features signature elements from Sachs’ previous four space programs and more than a dozen new works–plus exclusive Sachs-designed merchandise being unveiled and made available to the public for the first time.
Hyundai Card is offering a limited number of early bird tickets for “HYUNDAI CARD CULTURE PROJECT 29 TOM SACHS.” Starting today, tickets will be available for purchase via KakaoTalk at a 40% discount (KRW 12,000) off the regular price (KRW 20,000). Limited-edition NFT tickets for the exhibition will also be available for purchase starting in April. Purchasers of NFT tickets will be automatically entered into a draw to win limited-edition Tom Sachs merchandise and enjoy other exclusive benefits.
Since 2023, Hyundai Card has been integrating NFT tickets into its cultural events, including “HYUNDAI CARD DAVINCI MOTEL.” The company has been lauded for its use of NFT technology to prevent ticket fraud, a longstanding issue within Korea’s exhibition and performance industries, while also providing audiences with new and engaging experiences.
“We are thrilled to announce the return of HYUNDAI CARD CULTURE PROJECT after seven years, a program that has consistently pushed boundaries and enriched Korea’s cultural landscape with its innovative and experimental concerts and exhibitions,” said a Hyundai Card official. “‘HYUNDAI CARD CULTURE PROJECT 29 TOM SACHS’ will offer a remarkable opportunity to witness firsthand the otherworldly realms conjured by Tom Sachs’ visionary artistry.
