“We’re offering young Indians a new language of self-expression through our sneakers with four collections offering a perfect blend modern trends with enduring style,” said Deepan Babu, Co-founder of CHK. “Our sneakers will distinguish themselves through exceptional design, quality, and comfort.”
Founded in 2024, CHK is on a mission to transform India’s fashion and lifestyle footwear landscape by offering an extensive and ever-evolving range of trendsetting styles. Proudly 100% ‘Made in India’, CHK designs its footwear in Bangalore and manufactured each pair at its state-of-the-art manufacturing facility in Tamil Nadu.
Every CHK pair is conceptualised, developed, and manufactured in-house, allowing the brand to rapidly prototype, refine, and launch new styles without sacrificing quality or agility. Innovative features such as size-adjusting insoles for a customised fit, a proprietary dirt-repelling coat coating lasting cleanliness, and lightweight materials for superior comfort are thoughtfully incorporated to elevate the sneaker experience for India’s style conscious and discerning youth.
CHK is cofounded by Sankar Bora, former cofounder at Myntra and DealShare, Deepan Babu (ex-McKinsey), Bharat Mahajan (ex-Wildcraft, Puma, Adidas), and Deepak Patil (ex-Myntra, Cure.fit). Both Bharat and Deepak are alumni of the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI), underscoring the brand’s design-led DNA. Earlier, the brand announced a successful seed funding round of US$2.5 million in a seed round, led by Accel and BlueStone Jewellery and Lifestyle.
CHK will also be showcasing its debut collection at AYC 2025 – India’s biggest streetwear festival – taking place from July 4–6 at the Jio World Convention Centre, Mumbai, giving sneaker enthusiasts a first look at the full range.
