IIM Bodh Gaya’s Swachhata Hi Seva Shramdaan Campaign

Bodh Gaya, October 3 , 2025: The Indian Institute of Management-Bodh Gaya, undertook a cleaning drive, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to environmental sustainability and community welfare in alignment with the Ministry of Education’s nationwide Swachhata Hi Seva (SHS) 2025 campaign from 17th September to 2nd October 2025.

Under the guidance and leadership of Dr Vinita Sahay, Director, IIM Bodh Gaya, a campus-wide cleanliness activity was held as a part of Swachhata Hi Seva, 2025. The students embraced these initiatives through campus activities toward building a sustainable and socially responsible society. This initiative, involving approximately 800 students, reflected the power of collaboration in driving impactful change that we as a community must embody and promote.

The cleaning drive along with Safai Mitra Shivir- a special initiative focused on providing sanitation workers with safety equipment, was coordinated by the faculty of IIM Bodh Gaya – Dr Vishal Wankhede, and Student Affairs Committee Chairperson, Dr Sreelekha Mishra. The event aims to tackle immediate environmental concerns and foster civic responsibility and ecological awareness among participants and the wider community.

IIM Bodh Gaya continues to lead in sustainable development by embedding environmental responsibility into its core values and fostering active engagement from students, faculty, and staff. Through its initiatives, the institute promotes a culture of ecological stewardship and social accountability as fundamental to its mission.
