Bhubaneswar, Sept. 24 (UDN): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Thursday announced a major organisational reshuffle, appointing senior leader Saudan Singh as the party’s organisational in-charge for Odisha along with Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal.
The appointments were announced through a notification issued by BJP National President Nitin Nabin, reallocating responsibilities among the party’s Joint General Secretaries (Organisation) ahead of key political engagements across several states.
Saudan Singh Gets Charge of Four Eastern States
Under the new arrangement, Saudan Singh will oversee the BJP’s organisational affairs in Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal, four states that hold significant political importance for the party’s expansion and organisational strengthening.
The reshuffle is aimed at streamlining coordination between the central leadership and state units as the BJP prepares for upcoming electoral and organisational activities.
Responsibilities Reassigned Across States
The party has also entrusted Shiv Prakash, another National Joint General Secretary (Organisation), with organisational responsibilities in Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Goa.
Meanwhile, senior organisational leader V. Satish has been assigned charge of the BJP’s Scheduled Caste (SC) and Scheduled Tribe (ST) Morchas. He will also oversee the party’s Parliament Office as part of his expanded responsibilities.
Organisational Focus Ahead
The latest reshuffle reflects the BJP’s effort to strengthen its organisational network across different regions by assigning experienced leaders to oversee state-level coordination and party affairs.
With Odisha now coming under Saudan Singh’s supervision, the party is expected to focus on organisational consolidation and coordination in the state as part of its broader national strategy.
