IMS 2025 to Give a Big Push to Aerospace & Defence MSMEs: BEL CMD Manoj Jain

August 4, 2025: In the lead-up to the 7th Edition of the India Manufacturing Show (IMS 2025)—billed as the “Aerospace & Defence Engineering Expo”—Chairman and Managing Director of Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), Manoj Jain, underscored the critical role of large industries in nurturing and empowering Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) to make them globally competitive.

Speaking at the curtain-raiser event, Jain emphasized that quality and certification were non-negotiable in the aerospace and defence sectors.

“MSMEs must align with stringent quality and certification standards if they are to be part of the global supply chain,” he stated, adding that flexibility—without compromising regulatory compliance—was essential from both major industries and MSMEs. This, he said, “calls for a mindset change across the ecosystem.”
