Introducing Siorai: A New Chapter In Indian Luxury Fashion

Bengaluru, India, 8th July, 2025: SIORAI, a contemporary luxury label conceived as a system of intentional dressing, marks its debut with the opening of its flagship store on Lavelle Road, Bengaluru, and the launch of its inaugural Spring / Summer 2025 collection, Tidal Bloom. Founded by Alayna Zaid, SIORAI proposes a new philosophy of dressing that moves fluidly between precision and ease, structure and softness, power and play.

Introducing Siorai: A New Chapter In Indian Luxury Fashion

A visual artist, Zaid held her first solo exhibition at the age of nine. Her artistic practice, shaped by early exposure to form, colour and texture, continues to inform her design vocabulary today. “SIORAI redefines craft for a new generation of wearers who move between categories — not just in fashion, but in identity,” says Zaid. “By focusing on intentional design and authenticity over hype, SIORAI aims to set a new standard for what modern Indian fashion can be: rooted yet new, crafted with care, and unafraid to evolve as its wearers do.”

Though SIORAI is a new name, its origins bring the story full circle. Zaid is the great-granddaughter of Abdul Razack Sattar, who began with a modest fabric and tailoring shop in Bengaluru, laying the foundation for what would later become the Prestige Group, one of India’s most respected real estate enterprises. With SIORAI, Zaid picks up an earlier thread in the family’s history and reworks it for the present. The label draws on a legacy of vision and scale, while finding its place in the landscape of contemporary fashion.

Situated in one of Bengaluru’s most storied cultural and commercial districts, the Lavelle Road flagship signals the brand’s arrival. Designed in collaboration with Aston Design, a Singapore-based studio renowned for its refined, cross-cultural interiors, with projects spanning India, Sri Lanka, Japan, the Maldives, and Singapore, including notable spaces like the Acne Studios store in Hong Kong and Baia in Singapore. The space offers a tactile entry point into the brand’s world, where material, silhouette, and texture speak first.

A warm, neutral palette cocoons the store in calmness. Softened lighting, curved contours, and layered textures speak to a slower, more intimate form of luxury. At its centre, a sculptural staircase functions both as an architectural anchor and an art piece. The result is a space that feels both grounded and elevated, familiar and futuristic.

Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention, using small- batch production methods and artisanal collaboration.

Launching online and in-store, SIORAI’s Spring / Summer 2025 collection Tidal Bloom sets the tone for the label’s visual and emotional language. Spanning menswear and womenswear, it explores the quiet tension of underwater worlds, and features:

  • Sculptural silhouettes in soft suiting, bias cuts, and fluid drapes
  • Artisanal surface techniques including hand painting, 3D cutwork florals, appliqué, and cutwork embroidery
  • Custom innovations like thread-based jaali lace crafted on a water-soluble base
  • Menswear with monogram accents, tonal prints, and placement-printed silks

The palette evokes the seascape: oyster beige, driftwood taupe, pearl white, with jolts of reef pink, deep-sea teal, and electric blue. Signature pieces include corset tops with sea- inspired brooches, mini dresses with hand-embroidered crystals, and structured jackets softened by curved seams — all reflecting the brand’s devotion to detail. SIORAI operates within the luxury-contemporary segment, with price points ranging from ₹10,000 to ₹80,000. Each piece is crafted with meticulous attention, using small-batch production methods and artisanal collaboration.
