Novotel Hyderabad Airport Welcomes Guests to ‘Swaad Kathiawaad Ka’ – A Celebration of Authentic FlavorsMumbai / Hyderabad, 20th February 2025: Novotel Hyderabad Airport is set to bring the bold and vibrant flavors of Gujarat’s Kathiyawadi cuisine through ‘Swaad Kathiawaad Ka’, a unique food festival created by guest chef Poonam Dedhia. This festive food runs from 22nd February through 2nd March, between 7:00 PM to 11:00 PM, and features an upscale buffet featuring the region’s gastronomic delight.

Originating from Saurashtra, the Kathiyawad area comprises cities such as Porbandar, Bhavnagar, Jamnagar, Rajkot, and Junagadh. In contrast to the sweet-flavored dishes of popular Gujarati cuisine, Kathiyawadi cuisine is characterized by its aromatic and spicy nature. Some of the popular dishes are Sev Tameta nu Shaak, a spicy and sour tomato curry garnished with crunchy gram flour noodles, and Ringna no Oroh, a smoky, spiced eggplant roast akin to Baingan Bharta.

The menu, designed by Chef Poonam Dedhia, will have a variety of authentic Kathiyawadi treats, such as live counters of Surti Patties and Kutchi Dabeli, rich main courses like Surti Undhiyu and Lasaniya Ringna-Bateta nu Shaak, traditional bread like Bajri na Rotla and Phulka Rotli, and rich desserts like Kesar Jalebi and Khopra Paak. The experience will be accompanied by refreshing drinks, such as Jamun Shots, Piyush, and Masala Chaas.
