The Indian Industries Association (IIA), Delhi Chapter, hosted TARANG 2024 , at the India Habitat Centre. The event brought together IIA members and their families for an evening of joy, unity, and reflection on the remarkable achievements of India’s MSME (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) sector. It was not just about welcoming the New Year but also honoring the spirit of innovation, collaboration, and growth that propels the nation forward.

Dr. Mamtamayi Priyadarshini, State Chairperson of IIA-Delhi, delivered the welcome address, highlighting IIA’s core mission of empowering MSMEs and fostering opportunities for business growth. Her speech underscored the importance of unity and collaboration in building a brighter future for the sector.

Dr. Sanjay Mayukh, National Media Co-head, Spokesperson, and Chief Whip of Vidhan Parishad (BJP), graced the event as the chief guest. In his address, Dr. Mayukh emphasized the need to move beyond traditional practices and align with Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of a progressive, strong, and prosperous India.

“The era of traditional development is over. We are now in the era of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi ji, where progress and dedication lead the way to a stronger, more prosperous India,” said Dr. Mayukh, energizing the audience and setting an optimistic tone for 2025.

Mr. Dinesh Goyal, National Senior Vice President of IIA, presented an ambitious roadmap for MSMEs titled “Transforming MSMEs to 4.2 & 48,” which aims to increase the sector’s contribution to India’s GDP from 33% to 48% by 2047, aligning with the vision of Amrit Kaal. He also unveiled plans to launch an IPO for MSMEs within the next two years—a significant step toward enhancing their visibility and fostering financial growth.

Charanjeet Singh, Vice President of IIA-Delhi, reflected on the occasion: “As we step into 2025, we are reminded of the immense potential the MSME sector holds in shaping the future of India. The Build Bharat Expo is a testament to our commitment to empowering industries nationwide. We are focused on fostering innovation, sustainability, and growth to drive India’s economic progress.”

Key Announcement: Build Bharat Expo 2025

One of the event’s highlights was the announcement of Build Bharat Expo 2025, scheduled from March 19 to 21, 2025, at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi. This unique platform will advance India’s industrial sector by supporting MSMEs and traditional industries.

The expo will showcase a wide array of industries, including:

  • Green and clean energy
  • Building and construction materials
  • Electrical and electronics
  • Agro and food processing

Build Bharat Expo 2025 aims to address India’s manufacturing landscape by offering sustainable practices, localized supply chains, and technological advancements. Unlike other expos focusing on urban technologies and smart cities, this event emphasizes empowering regional industries and sustainable manufacturing practices, fostering innovation at all levels of the industry.

Manufacturers, dealers, distributors, and entrepreneurs will have opportunities to collaborate and contribute to India’s vision of a self-sufficient and prosperous future.
