India, April 22nd, 2025: WEX, a global commerce platform that simplifies payment and administrative processes for businesses, today announced plans to expand its global presence in Bengaluru, India. This initiative builds on WEX’s existing footprint in Chennai and Madurai, and reinforces the company’s commitment to scaling its global technology capabilities through India’s vibrant innovation ecosystem.
As part of this expansion, WEX plans to hire approximately 190 professionals, including developers, engineers, and technology leaders, to co-develop solutions and accelerate delivery across its global platforms. These engineers will support WEX’s growth across its Health & Benefits, Mobility, and Corporate Payments business lines, as well as its Data, AI & Risk Technology (DART) function.
