IMS-DIA Welcomes School Leaders for Principal Conclave

Noida. IMS-Design & Innovation Academy (IMS–DIA), Sector 62, Noida, hosted the Principal Conclave focusing on the future of design education in India. During the event, education leaders engaged in discussions on emerging creative career trends under the New Education Policy, evolving industry skill expectations, and the critical role of schools in nurturing design-oriented thinking among students.

Delivering the welcome note, IMS-DIA Vice President Mr. Chirag Gupta said that design education today is not just a career choice but a vital medium for developing future skills, meeting industry expectations, and fostering innovation among students. He added that design education prepares young learners for a rapidly changing world and plays a crucial role in connecting them with new opportunities.

As the keynote speaker, Professor (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan, Director General of IMS Noida, shared his insights, stating that design schools act as a knowledge bridge between students and the design industry, ensuring a brighter future for young learners. He emphasized that educators must also stay aware of emerging careers and the New Education Policy to effectively guide the next generation. Prof. Dhawan also conducted a session on Emotional Intelligence, highlighting the connection between emotions and art for all participants.

Concluding the event, Professor (Dr.) MKV Nair, Dean of IMS–DIA, informed that principals from more than 47 schools across Delhi-NCR, including Air Force Golden Jubilee Institute, MBS International School, and St. Froebel senior secondary school, participated in the conclave. During the interactive Q&A session, Chirag Gupta, Prof. Vikas Dhawan, and Prof. Nair discussed the challenges faced by design students due to lack of awareness at the school level.
