University of Southampton Delhi opens applications for undergraduate admissions 2026

15th October 2025: The University of Southampton Delhi, India’s first UGC-approved international university and the only global top 100 university with a campus in the country, has opened applications for its August 2026 undergraduate intake.

The campus offers students an opportunity to pursue a prestigious UK degree while studying in India, a milestone moment in advancing transnational education under India’s National Education Policy (NEP).

The University of Southampton’s leadership in global higher education was recently recognised as part of the UK government’s landmark visit to India. Professor Andrew Atherton, Vice-President International and Engagement, joined UK Prime Minister Keir Starmer on his first official visit to India as part of a trade delegation bringing together British and Indian business and education leaders to strengthen bilateral ties following the signing of the Free Trade Agreement.

Professor Atherton said, “The University of Southampton was proud to become the very first international university approved by the University Grants Commission to establish a campus in India, thanks to our reputation for excellence in education, research and enterprise. Our first students are already benefiting from this flagship initiative, and last week’s UK delegation offered further opportunities for our university to further strengthen our links with India.”

Students at the University of Southampton Delhi can choose from undergraduate programmes such as BSc (Hons) in Accounting & Finance, B.Sc. (Hons) Computer Science, B.Sc. (Hons) Business Management, and B.Sc. (Hons) Economics. For the August 2026 entry, the portfolio will be expanded to include BSc (Hons) in Creative Computing and B.Eng. Students completing Class XII (or equivalent) are eligible to apply. Applicants should have achieved at least 75% in their Standard XII examinations from boards such as CBSE, CISCE, or leading State Boards. Equivalent international qualifications are also accepted, including UK A-Levels and the International Baccalaureate (IB) Diploma with scores typically ranging between 28 and 38 points.
