New Delhi, May 1st, 2025 – Bhagva, a global spiritual service and a tech platform, today announced that the organisation will establish 60+ Centers of Excellence (COEs) across India. These centres will provide modern training programs to enable institutions to deliver high-quality, skill-based education with global placement opportunities.
Launching the initiative, Bhagva has collaborated with 4 Sanskrit Mahavidyalayas, including Bhavan’s Shri Shankaracharya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Delhi; Sharda Devi Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, Delhi; Shrinath Veda Bhyas Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya, Aurangabad; and Shree Ram Sanskrit College, Nashik. Initially the CoEs will be established in these colleges.
The MoU is facilitated by the International Mandir Prabhandhak Council (IMPC), while Bhagva will train, coach and place over 7200 pandits till 2026. Jagriti Motwani, Founder and promoter of Bhagva, said, “Through this MoU, Bhagva is given a responsibility to bridge the gap between traditional knowledge and modern advancements, ensuring a seamless blend of technology and education”.
These Centers of Excellence (COEs) will provide a range of offline training programs, including a 7-day certification module under Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) and 60-90-day upskilling courses. These courses will focus on enhancing soft skills, digital literacy, and service protocols, designed to meet the demands of modern religious and cultural service requirements.
The training modules will include Purohit Training focusing on rituals, Vedic practices, and temple conduct. Temple Management will cover administrative skills, guest handling, and event coordination, while Veda-Shastra Pravachan and Vedic Ganit will focus on scriptural oration, chanting, and introductory Vedic mathematics, along with heritage skills like agarbatti making, sculpture, stone artistry, and traditional garland making. These programs are designed not only to upskill existing Purohits but also to train youth from rural and semi-urban areas, ensuring the preservation of traditions while generating employment opportunities.
Speaking on the collaboration, Prof. Dr. Shashibala of Bhavan’s Shri Shankaracharya Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya stated, “This is a rare and one of the important initiatives to bring back our country’s traditional knowledge with a modern touch. Together, we aim to create pathways for students to excel globally while preserving our heritage.” Shri Chavi Arya and Shri Madan Lal Gupta, alongside Principal Vinod C. Pandey of Sharda Devi Sanskrit Vidyapeeth, echoed this sentiment, emphasizing the importance of cultural education to meet contemporary demands. Principal Shri Ajit Deo of Shrinath Veda Bhyas Sanskrit Mahavidyalaya and Principal Shree Atulshastri Tarte of Shree Ram Sanskrit College also expressed optimism about the long-term impact of these COEs on local communities and heritage preservation.
Backed by $1 million in Pre-Series A funding, Bhagva will employ all the certified Pandits, in India and globally. Placement avenues include positions in leading temples, diaspora communities, spiritual resorts, and cultural tourism circuits. On-demand services and digital puja offerings via the Bhagva App will provide broader visibility and sustainable income opportunities, ensuring dignified livelihoods for all trained individuals.
