Warangal, Nov 24th: The spirit of sportsmanship, teamwork, and youthful energy lit up the Birla Open Minds International School, Warangal campus as it proudly hosted the South India Birla Interschool Sports Meet 2025 from 14th to 16th November. The three-day sporting extravaganza brought together talented student-athletes from 11 Birla Open Minds schools across Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu, creating a vibrant showcase of athletic excellence.
Participating schools included LB Nagar, Bibinagar, and Bandlaguda (Hyderabad – T.S.), Rajahmundry (A.P.), K.R. Puram – Bengaluru (K.A.), Kurnool (A.P.), Karur (Tamil Nadu), Kalaburagi (Karnataka), Karimnagar (T.S.), Gangavathi (K.A.), and the host school, Warangal (T.S.). Each team competed with outstanding zeal, discipline, and determination.
The tournament featured 11 exciting sports categories Cricket, Basketball, Volleyball, Football, Swimming, Archery, Kho Kho, Kabaddi, Carrom, Chess, and Skating — highlighting the diverse sporting talent and competitive spirit of young athletes from across South India.
Participants competed in U-14 and U-17 Boys & Girls categories, delivering nail-biting matches and inspiring displays of skill. From lightning-fast skating tracks and high-intensity basketball showdowns to electrifying football finishes and precision-driven archery rounds, every sporting arena at the Warangal campus resonated with energy, cheers, and pure competitive passion.
