Hunar Mahotsav 2024: The Biggest India Handicraft Exhibition Draws HyderabadisHyderabad, 03rd April 2024:  The vibrant Hunar Mahotsav – A Festival of Crafts, Cuisine, and Music, is currently underway at the Gymkhana Ground, Secunderabad, Telangana, captivating visitors with its exquisite array of rare artifacts and cultural offerings. Dedicated to promoting, protecting, and providing a sustainable platform for artisans and craftspeople, the event has been a resounding success since its commencement on March 28th, 2024. 

Hunar Mahotsav in association with Gandhi Smriti Darshan Samiti (GSDS), New Delhi offering a vibrant showcase of India’s rich heritage of crafts, cuisine, and culture. From March 28th to April 8th, 2024, at the Gymkhana Grounds.

More than 350 artisans and craftsmen from over 25 States/UTs have converged at the Gymkhana Ground to participate in this grand celebration of India’s rich cultural heritage. Representing diverse regions such as Andhra Pradesh, Assam, Bihar, Delhi, Gujarat, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Jammu-Kashmir, Jharkhand, Odisha, Puducherry, Punjab, Rajasthan, Telangana, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, West Bengal, and more, these artisans have brought forth their finest creations to showcase at the Hunar Mahotsav.

Visitors to the event are treated to a spectacular display of indigenous handmade products, including but not limited to, Applique work, dry flowers, jute-cane items, brass products, wooden and clay toys, Ajrakh Block Print, Blue Art Pottery, Pashmina Shawls, Khadi products, Banarsi Silk, Wooden Furniture, Chikankari Embroidery, Chanderi Silk, Lac bangles, Rajasthani jewellery, Phulkari, Leather products, pottery, Jute products, and much more. Each piece tells a story of tradition, craftsmanship, and cultural heritage.

In addition to marvelling at the craftsmanship on display, visitors can indulge their taste buds with traditional delicacies from every corner of India at the “Food Court” section. Furthermore, the event will feature a lively Dandiya Night, adding to the festive ambiance and ensuring an unforgettable experience for all attendees.

Amidst the buzz of the Hunar Mahotsav, shoppers from the twin cities of Secunderabad and Hyderabad, as well as neighbouring districts, are flocking to the exhibition grounds in anticipation of the upcoming festival shopping for Ugaadi and Ramadan. The lively atmosphere, coupled with the diverse array of handcrafted goods and delectable cuisine, promises to make this year’s festival shopping a memorable experience for all.
