Hyderabad corporate leader re-elected to World FZO Board

New Delhi / Hyderabad, May 15, 2026: Hyderabad-based corporate leader Mr Srikanth Badiga has been re-elected as a Member of the Board of Directors of the prestigious World Free Zones Organisation (World FZO) for a second term of four years, from 2026 to 2030.

The election took place during the Annual General Assembly of the World FZO held alongside the 12th World FZO World Congress in Panama City, Panama.

The 12th World Free Zones Organisation (WFZO) World Congress was one of the world’s largest global gatherings focused on free zones, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), international trade, logistics, investment promotion, and economic policy.

The World Free Zones Organisation is a leading global non-profit organisation representing free zones, Special Economic Zones (SEZs), industrial parks, and related economic authorities worldwide.

Announcing the development, the Export Promotion Council for EOUs & SEZs (EPCES) stated that Mr Srikanth Badiga, Group Director of the Hyderabad-based Phoenix Group and Chairman of EPCES, has been re-elected to the World FZO Board of Directors in recognition of his continued contribution to the global free zones and export ecosystem.

EPCES is a Government of India-recognised export promotion council that supports companies operating in Export Oriented Units (EOUs), Special Economic Zones (SEZs), and Free Trade Warehousing Zones (FTWZs).

Mr Badiga’s re-election is seen as significant recognition of India’s growing role in the global SEZ and trade ecosystem and reflects the increasing international engagement of Indian industry leadership in shaping global trade and investment policies.
