Kashipur, India 10th February 2025: IIM Kashipur successfully hosted Samanvaya 2025 | Chapter 2, its prestigious annual HR conclave, themed “MBA Next: Shaping Tomorrow’s Business Leaders.” The event brought together eminent HR leaders to deliberate on the evolving dynamics of workforce management, leadership development, and the impact of globalization on talent strategy.
The conclave was graced by Prof. Utkarsh and Prof. Deepak Verma, Chairpersons of Placement and Corporate Relations, and Prof. Kunal Ganguly, Professor & Dean (Development), who facilitated the panel discussions. In his welcome address, Prof. Utkarsh emphasized the importance of industry-academia collaboration and how such flagship events equip students with the knowledge to navigate the ever-changing corporate landscape.
Topic of discussion for Panel 1 was ‘Navigating the Talent Wars – How to Lead a Multigenerational Workforce’. The first panel explored the challenges of leading a workforce spanning different generations. Moderated by Mr. Rohit Tamta, Deputy General Manager, Otipy.
The esteemed panelists included: Mr. Ashish Mahajan – Global Head of Talent Acquisition, TerraPay highlighted that mentorship should be a two-way process, fostering open communication and inclusivity to enhance workforce engagement. Ms. Renu Rohtagi – Leadership Program Director, Human Resources & Communication, Air Liquide stressed the importance of aligning personal values with an organization’s purpose to drive accountability and impactful leadership. Mr. Robin Scaria – CHRO, Rapipay Fintech Private Limited emphasized that diversity, when strategically leveraged, acts as a catalyst for business growth through respect and continuous communication. Mr. Sahil Nayar – Renowned HR Influencer, MBTI & NLP Practitioner advocated for situational leadership over rigid hierarchies, where trust and adaptability become the foundation of high-performing teams.
Panel 2 discussed on the topic ‘Globalization and Geopolitical Risks – What it Takes to Lead in Uncertain Times’. The second panel, moderated by Mr. Kamesh Yadav, Head of Business Development, National Commodities Management Services Limited, featured an insightful discussion on leadership in an increasingly uncertain global environment.
The panelists included: Ms. Sakshi Malhotra – Associate Director HR at Masai School highlighted how India’s startup ecosystem is attracting global talent by prioritizing impact-driven candidates and fostering stronger employee engagement. Mr. Sushant Kumar – Talent Acquisition Manager at Brillio underscored the need for future leaders to be strategic and analytical while mapping hiring processes to evolving job role demands. Mr. Satish Pawar – Head HR, Manufacturing – India, Stanley Black & Decker, Inc emphasized the shift towards skill-based hiring, where adaptability, a strong skill set, and personal branding are critical for career success.
