Kapil Dev returns to Hyderabad in Support of his NGO KHUSHII with Art Caravan

Hyderabad, March 28, 2024: KHUSHII NGO, the pioneering organisation founded by cricket legend Mr Kapil Dev in 2003, announced the return of the Art Caravan to Hyderabad.

The private viewing of the exquisite collection of, the Art Caravan was held at Park Hyatt on Wednesday evening and is continued on Thursday as well.

This captivating ‘Pop-Up Art Exhibition’ was co-hosted by Parvathi Reddy, a distinguished board member of KHUSHII from the Southern region, Executive Director – of NAR Infra Pvt Ltd. and Founder Designer, PR Design House.

The event was graced by Raj Thakur, Congress leader and MLA of Ramagundam, as the Chief Guest.

Speaking on the occasion Kapil said, it was my small way of some service to the society. It is a small responsibility. God is kind to me. I am relatively free nowadays. The only thing that is at my disposal at this age is ‘time’, which I am using for some good cause like this and others. We started this NGO 21 years ago. Now it is impacting about 2 lakh children across India.

Speaking about Hyderabad he said the city has grown tremendously. In my eighties, the very same place where I am standing today (The Park Hyatt) was a jungle, now has an edifice. It is a beautiful city with a lot of high-rise buildings. When asked about any good memory of the city, Kapil Dev said, his first flight was from Hyderabad to Delhi.

Giving more details about Kushii, the NGO, Parvathi Reddy, the Sound Head and also on the board of it said Kushii has been supporting mental health, physical health, and holistic development of the children across many schools. Near 300 paintings of artists from across India are on display.

The exhibition which opened on Wednesday will be open on Thursday from 11 am – 10 pm at the Park Hyatt, Hyderabad The Art Caravan, renowned for its exclusive and meticulously curated artworks, is dedicated to raising funds in aid of KHUSHII’s initiatives aimed at the holistic development of children, with a specific focus on education and mental wellbeing. As a Not-for-Profit Organization, KHUSHII has been instrumental in reaching over 1,85,000 beneficiaries across 78 schools pan-India.

The Art Caravan promises an exceptional experience, showcasing unique art forms not typically available in the host city. Following the success of the previous edition in New York in 2023, this year’s event is set to be even more remarkable.
