Kerala, June 2022: Magenta ChargeGrid, India’s leading EV charging player, inaugurated its first EV charger in the state of Kerala through its partnership with Crescendo, a premium store for lifestyle solutions for homes in Malabar Region of Kerala. Crescendo, which houses authorized brand store for BOSCH Home Appliances and ARISTO Wardrobe solutions and Kitchens, has partnered with Magenta to offer EV Charging to its customers in Kozhikode and for all EV owners who are travelling through Kozhikode. Magenta ChargeGrid team was responsible for installation, commissioning and operations of this charger.
The charging station location is at the heart of the city on Kannur Road near PT Usha Road junction & City Hall and is also very near to Kozikode beach. Installation of EV chargers in such hotspots will help to promote more EV adoption. Charger installed at this location can charge all popular electric cars with CCS2 connectors like Tata Nexon, Tata Tigor, MG ZS, Hyundai Kona, Kia EV6, BYD E6, and other high end cars that are expected to be launched in the Indian market.
Magenta in its mission to enable e-mobility is partnering with environmentally conscious partners. Magenta intends to onboard many such partners on a WIN-WIN proposition over next few months taking factors like location, type of customer segments etc into consideration.

Magenta ChargeGrid is currently expanding its charging network to 35-40 cities in India with the aim to set up a network of around 11,000 chargers by the end of FY 23. Magenta ChargeGrid has formed alliances with prominent DISCOMs across the country such as BSES, BESCOM and other key discoms with the goal of establishing a stronger EV charging ecosystem. The firm is also collaborating with multiple corporations in India with present association with bodies like Indore Municipal Corporation, Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation, Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation and Bengaluru Metropolitan Transport Corporation. This is in addition to our ongoing strategic tie-ups with key hotel chains such as Fern, IBIS, amongst others, to build EV charging infrastructure within cities and on highways.
