New Delhi, March 2023: VogueStar, an inclusive platform of women and by the women supporting them create their distinctive identities, will organize an all-India fashion week cum beauty pageant in Jaipur. The upcoming extravaganza of fashion and beauty will be curated by Alison Woodham, a renowned fashion show choreographer based out of Mumbai. Another celebrity trainer Kavita Kharayat will groom the beauty pageant participants for the grand finale.
The event which will be hosted at Le Meridian Hotel on 14th to 16th of April 2023 is set to spread a message around unity in diversity. Alison and Kavita are working day and night to ensure a magnificent and memorable grand finale. Conceptualized by Alison, the grand finale of the VogueStar beauty pageant and Fashion Week will witness state-level winners trained by Kavita, walk the ramp donning designer masterpieces crafted by emerging designers from across the country.
With over 20 year of experience, Alison Woodham is a businesswoman who has taken her career from a single show to a multi-city operation. She has to her credit big-city shows like The Chivas Fashion Tour, Launch of Belvedere, Lakme fashion week, Vogue, Sabyasachi, Manish Malhotra, Anamika Khanna, Shantanu & Nikhil, Tarun Tahiliani, Christain Dior, Ayesha Depala and many more.
Elating about her participation as a curator of the fashion week cum beauty pageant, Alson said, “Miss and Mrs. VogueStar India and VogueStar Fashion Week is an event of its type which provides equal opportunity to women from across the country irrespective of their backgrounds, age, region, etc. I find myself fortunate enough to be a part of this unique show and to support these young women to realize their potential and perform in front of the world.”
Ex-supermodel Kavita has been associated with VogueStar since the beginning and contributed in the screening process of contestants for the beauty pageant. A well-known face of the fashion industry, Kavita has worked with pioneer designers such as Manish Malhotra, Sabyasachi, Abu Jani, and Sandeep Khosla among others. She has regularly been participating in Lakme Fashion Week, Wills Fashion Week, and International Fashion weeks – Rome Fashion Week and Singapore Fashion Week. Kavita has been grooming VogueStar contestants to perform to the best of their abilities on the day of grand finale.
Being a part of the grand event, Kavita said, “I believe that women can achieve what they want if they are given equal opportunities. VogueStar is such as platform and I am happy to be here and helping these young participants with my knowledge of the fashion world.”
Divided into two categories, the pageant will crown three national winners under Miss VogueStar India and Mrs. VogueStar India. Mrs. VogueStar India is further categorized into two groups where in the group will be for married women from the age group of 18-35 while group 2 will be for women who are between 36-50 years. The idea behind this categorization is to ensure fair competition and inclusion of women across the age groups and relationship status to perform with best of their abilities.
VogueStar team comprises all female members abiding by its motto of creating a safe space for women. During the scanning rounds, VogueStar received registrations from 1200 passionate women from 28 states and eight union territories who wanted to create a mark in the society. With this VogueStar also invited budding and emerging fashion designers from all over the county to represent their state in the fashion week. The 30 selected designers are in the process of employing their imagination on fabric, embellishments, and embroidery to create an exquisite collection with a unique Indian appeal for the grand finale.
