Earlier this month, the Uttar Pradesh Expressways Industrial Development Authority (UPEIDA) invited bids for the project after the state Cabinet approved an estimated investment of ₹8,585.51 crore. The six-lane highway corridor will be developed with provision for future expansion to eight lanes and is expected to be completed within three years.
The proposed 74-km expressway will start from around 24.8 km of the Yamuna Expressway, near the development of Film City in YEIDA Sector 21. It will then connect with the Ganga Expressway near Syana in Bulandshahr, creating a direct route between Jewar and several parts of eastern and central Uttar Pradesh.

The project will cover 56 villages. Land acquisition is already under way, with most of the required land in the Yamuna Authority area acquired. The alignment will also pass through New Noida, formally known as the Dadri-Noida-Ghaziabad Investment Region.

Construction will be carried out in two phases. The first will cover a 24-km stretch between Bhaipur Brahmanan in Greater Noida and Bichaula village in Bulandshahr. The second phase will extend for approximately 50 km from Bichaula to Bahanpur in the Syana area.
The corridor is expected to improve passenger and freight movement while reducing pressure on existing routes. It could also support logistics, warehousing and industrial development around the airport.
The new road link comes amid a wider development push around Jewar. Other planned projects include the Yamuna Pushta Elevated Road, the Chilla Elevated Road and the Faridabad-Jewar Greenfield Expressway. YEIDA has also approved proposals for a medical hub, university township, international stadium, interstate bus terminal, Taiwan City and pharmaceutical cluster.
The expressway’s impact will ultimately depend on timely land acquisition, construction and integration with existing transport networks. If completed as planned, it could help Jewar evolve from an airport project into a wider industrial, logistics and real estate growth centre for western Uttar Pradesh.
