Delhi, 24th February 2025: Legendary filmmaker and founder of Jahan-e Khusrau, Muzaffar Ali along with the members of the Rumi Foundation are beyond indebted and humbled to announce the gracious presence of the Hon’ble Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi ji, at the inaugural day of Jahan-e-Khusrau 2025, which also marks the 25th anniversary of this iconic festival.

His presence at this grand Silver Jubilee edition aligns perfectly with his vision of “Vikas bhi, Virasat bhi” (Progress along with Heritage), emphasizing the importance of preserving India’s rich spiritual and cultural traditions while embracing progress.
Marking 30 editions worldwide over the past 25 years, Jahan-e-Khusrau has evolved beyond a festival into a cultural movement, reviving and reimagining the mystical traditions of Rumi, Amir Khusrau, Baba Bulleh Shah, Lalleshwari, and other revered Sufi saints.
Reflecting on this milestone edition, Muzaffar Ali, the festival’s founder, shared: “Jahan-e-Khusrau was born from the whispers of saints and the melodies of mystics. This year’s festival, themed “Unity in Diversity”, will host an extraordinary lineup of Sufi musicians, poets, and performers from across the globe. The event will also feature The TEH Bazaar, a curated craft exhibition showcasing India’s finest heritage crafts, literary discussions, film screenings, and a Sufi-inspired culinary experience.
Since its inception in the year 2000, Jahan-e-Khusrau has been a pioneering movement that has bridged geographical and cultural boundaries, bringing together mystical traditions from Rumi, Amir Khusrau, Baba Bulleh Shah, Lalleshwari, and more.
