The health check-up activity, which was conducted in collaboration with CultivaTec, a B2B2C agri tech platform, was a resounding success, with over 200 farmers and their families benefiting from the initiative. Two nurses were deployed by Agrifields Foundation to conduct BP and sugar checks in every household, ensuring that no one was left behind. On the final day, doctors from Medicover Hospitals provided expert consultations, advising on medications and further investigations as needed.
“At Agrifields Foundation, we recognize the critical role farmers play in our society. By providing essential health services, we aim to empower them to lead healthier, more productive lives. This initiative is a testament to our commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of those who work tirelessly to feed our nation,” said Mr. Amit Gupta, Co-Founder of Agrifields Foundation.
The impact of the initiative was evident in the heartfelt feedback from farmers who benefited from the health check-up. Says Sai, 24, farmer from Ponnala, “I had no idea my blood pressure was high — it was 170. I was a bit shocked to hear that, but I’m glad I found out now. I’m thankful to Agrifields for bringing this check-up to our village.”
Dhanalakshmi, 56, farmer from Ponnala said, “We thought only my husband had diabetes. I didn’t expect my sugar to be 406. I didn’t feel anything unusual, so it was surprising. Thanks to CultivaTec for supporting farmers ”
“Farmers are the backbone of our society, working tirelessly to ensure food security for our nation. However, their health often takes a backseat. Agrifields Foundation’s health check-up initiative is a step towards bridging this gap, providing essential health services to those who need them most,” added Mr Gupta.
“At CultivaTec, we firmly believe in and work toward the betterment of agriculture — it’s the spirit behind our tagline ‘Together for Tomorrow’s Agriculture.’ Our mission revolves around two core commitments: we protect crops, and we protect farmers. This health initiative is a reflection of that purpose.
I sincerely thank Agrifields Foundation for their unwavering support in organizing such an impactful health camp in the village of Ponnala. Together, we are creating a stronger, healthier rural ecosystem,” said Mr. Sridhar Gampala, Founder and CEO of CultivaTec
