New Delhi, India November 14, 2024: In a landmark initiative under the Pradhan Mantri Kaushal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY) 4.0, upskilling training program has been introduced to enhance the skills of employees serving the Honourable President of India at Rashtrapati Bhawan. This elite program is set to raise service standards, aligning them with the excellence expected at the nation’s most esteemed residence.
The program is specifically designed to upskill Rashtrapati Bhawan staff in key service roles, including Kitchen Trainee, Food & Beverage Service Assistant, Housekeeping Assistant, and Multi-Task Attendant. Starting with a dedicated group of Kitchen Trainees, the training has expanded across departments to ensure a comprehensive elevation in service quality throughout the Presidential residence.
To date, an impressive 89 candidates have been trained, with the goal of reaching a total of 247 candidates. Each training session is meticulously crafted to elevate service levels, led by THSC’s esteemed trainers Chef Balinder and Mr. Ravinder Sharma, both renowned experts in the hospitality industry.
This industry Led initiative is a collaborative effort made possible by the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), and Tourism and Hospitality Skill Council (THSC) in Collaboration of Industry Partner AGR Talent . Together, these organizations are setting a new standard in hospitality training, equipping Rashtrapati Bhawan employees with enhanced skills and establishing a model for service excellence nationwide.

The Tourism & Hospitality Skill Council (THSC), a non-profit established in 2014 and promoted by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII), tackles the challenge of skilling India’s hospitality workforce.
