Towards a Cleaner Planet: Milestone and Hulladek Launch E-Waste Recycling Campaign

Milestone and Hulladek Join Forces to Launch E-Waste Initiative for a Greener FutureWith environmental degradation becoming a pressing issue, resulting in increased land, water, and air pollution, Milestone has taken a crucial step to address one of the most overlooked aspects of waste management: e-waste disposal. If left unchecked, the deterioration of the environment could lead to a harmful future, with severe health impacts and threats to life itself.

Milestone, an organization with a long-standing commitment to health, hygiene, and environmental conservation has been working on it from past many years.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, MILESTONE inaugurated an E-Waste Collection and Awareness Centre in collaboration with Hulladek.

This initiative aims to tackle the growing problem of e-waste—discarded electronic items which poses significant risks to the environment and human health due to improper disposal practices.

The event, held in Gole Market, saw enthusiastic participation from children, youth, and women in the community. They actively contributed by bringing e-waste items from their homes for safe disposal during the awareness drive. The gathering was a testament to the community’s willingness to embrace sustainable practices when provided with knowledge and opportunities.

Ms. Debpritha from Hulladek engaged with the attendees, emphasizing the importance of proper e-waste disposal.

Mr. Manish Sharma, Founder and President of Milestone, addressed the gathering, explaining how safe e-waste management can significantly contribute to environmental protection.

Milestone has started this initiative to conduct awareness drives and community engagement, aiming to create a significant impact on the environment. Milestone envisions building a strong foundation for sustainable practices at the grassroots level.

“Together, we can turn the tide on environmental degradation and ensure a cleaner, greener future for all,” said Mr. Sharma.
