Avaada Foundation’s` Be a Champion’ and “Teaching to Transform Lives” programs launched for students and teachers of GLA University

Mathura, 18 October 2022: Avaada Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Avaada Group, though through its flagship program Utkrisht Shiksha Abhiyan,’ will impart value-based education to instill moral and social values among students. Avaada Foundation has also undertaken the infrastructure construction and maintenance of three adopted schools in Mathura.

Avaada Foundation, under its Utkrisht Shiksha Abhiyan, organized a two-day long ‘Be a Champion’ and “Teaching to Transform Lives” Programs for the students and the teachers at GLA University on 14 and 15 October. “The intent of ‘Utkrisht Shiksha Abhiyan’ is to communicate value of Values Based Education to the students and to provide an orientation of Innovation in Pedagogy to the teachers in order to transform classrooms into inspiring environment of learning beyond books,”’ said Dr. Arun Bhardwaj, Director Avaada Foundation and a global thought leader on Engineering Happiness for Peak Performance Mindset.

The program’s highlight is to lay the foundation of Indian values in students by explaining to them value of the values, ensuring students not just learn but also practise Indian traditions, values, and culture in everyday life.  Utkrisht Shiksha Abhiyan based on moral values is beyond classroom education and with changing times and erosion of values, such a program based on India’s rich tradition will surely benefit society.

Another session was organized for the teachers, “Teaching to Transform Lives”. The session was a blend of principles from neurosciences, modern research, ancient wisdom, and experiential learning. The program offered ideas to become an academic leader and the transformer of lives.

Avaada Foundation’s objective is to bring about long-term societal development through introducing value-based education programs for the spiritual, moral, social, and cultural development of students. The program brings about the change in inner self through realization with regular application of values in daily life for overall development of a positive ethos and culture, said Vineet Mittal, Chairman, Avaada Group.

Right from the infrastructural challenges to the quality of education being imparted, a number of challenges are being faced by the government schools across India. The School Adoption Project aims at enhancing the learning environment of these schools at the physical as well as psychological levels.

During the interactive session with Dr. Bhardwaj students were encouraged to conquer their fears, identify their strengths, and overcome insecurities. A slew of activities was also organized for the students to help them become more confident and talk about their issues openly without any fear. The session also helped them understand how to lead a life with a positive vision, how to handle peer-pressure, how to realize self-esteem and gain self-confidence, and, in turn, be a good, successful and happy human being. We hope that many more students and teachers will get to participate in this transformative program to enhance their learning and teaching experiences.

Utkrisht Shiksha Abhiyan is a research and evidence-based program, curated to maximize learning & to promote Values-Based Education among youth and teachers. The first wave of the programs was organized in 12 schools in Rishikesh, Uttarakhand from 29th July to 4th August 2022.
