Industry on Amazon miniTV: Chunky Panday reveals being a part-time car dealer while speaking about his struggling days in Bollywood Mumbai, 02nd July 2024: Amazon miniTV, Amazon’s free video streaming service, recently released its riveting drama series – Industry. With a remarkable rating of 8.8 on IMDb, the series focuses on the life of Aayush Verma, an aspiring screenwriter who hustles to make his place amongst the elites of the film industry. Through his professional and personal friendships, his boundless love, and intense insecurity, Ayush’s journey is marked by near-successes and inevitable setbacks, creating a bittersweet migrant fairy tale. Produced by TVF, Industry features a dynamic cast featuring Gagan Arora, Chunky Panday, and Asha Negi in the lead roles.

Chunky Panday, who portrays the role of Rakesh Raman in this series, shared memories from his struggling days, saying, “My struggling days were very different, there were no casting directors or digital media, so we had to wait in long queues in front of producers’ offices. Getting to meet them and show them albums with photographs, we also had to dance in front of them and enact scenes from popular films. It was not easy, but it was fun. Well, those were my struggling days. I was a part-time hustler and part-time car dealer, so I used to get the chance to drive those cars around. Everyday, I was in a different car, visiting producers’ offices.”

Panday further shared his experience working with his co-actors in Industry, adding, “It was a pleasure working with this new generation of actors. I now understand that less is more—their performances are so nuanced and organic. I believe that working with them motivated me to evolve. I gained a great deal of knowledge from this experience. I look forward to many, many seasons of Industry.”

Industry is now streaming exclusively on Amazon miniTV for free within Amazon’s shopping app, on Prime Video, Fire TV, Smart TVs, or download the app from Play Store.
