Hyderabad, March 2023: Indian Dental Association (IDA), Deccan branch; celebrated World Oral Health Day (WOHD), by hosting a free dental and medical camp, today at Roch Memorial High School and Church, AC Guards, Hyderabad. Over five hundred people underwent screening, which included free doctors’ consultations for dental and general medicine, along with basic diagnostic services.
Indian Dental Association over the years has been relentlessly campaigning to promote oral health awareness to attain the goal of optimal oral health for all in the country. World Oral Health Day emphasizes the message of good oral hygiene practices to adults and children alike because good oral health can help one live a longer and healthier life. It demonstrates the importance of optimal oral health in maintaining general health and well-being. World Oral Health Day (WOHD) is celebrated globally every year on 20 March by FDI World Dental Federation. The official theme of the largest global awareness campaign on oral health for this year is ‘Be Proud of Your Mouth.’ WOHD is laying emphasis on oral health for overall health, as good oral health can help one to live a longer, healthier life.
