Made-in-India brand Paree Sanitary Pads pledges to ensure dignified menstrual hygiene for all women in Bihar

Bihar, 10 October 2022: Continuing with its promise to prioritize menstrual health for Indian women, Paree Sanitary Pads, a homegrown brand by Soothe Healthcare has announced the adoption of 100 schools in the state over the next six months to provide sanitary pads to the girls in these schools. Along with provisioning sanitary pads, the brand will also be hosting Menstrual Hygiene Awareness Programs in schools focused on menstrual wellness and good hygiene practices that one must follow.

Brand Paree has actively been conducting menstrual health programs and distribution drives in multiple cities of Bihar like Patna, Aurangabad, Darbhanga, Muzaffarpur, Ara, and other remote areas for the last 3 years.

Commenting on the initiative, Shruti Kapoor, Sr. Brand Manager, Soothe Healthcare said “Period Poverty is one of the major issues in India with less than 20% of women having access to hygienic menstrual protection and with very high rate of girls dropping out of schools due to lack of menstrual awareness. This school program comes on the back of the brand’s ongoing initiatives such as #SheFirst that was started during the pandemic, to distribute sanitary pads to ensure dignified menstrual protection for women, and #ChampionForChampions where the brand associated with Women Police Force across 50 Indian cities to celebrate their heavy-duty contribution to the society and spread the important message of menstrual health prioritization. Dr. Kiran Bedi and India Vision foundation also joined forces with Paree’s #ChampionForChampions program to lend a voice to this important message.
