Chris Jolly Embarks on India Tour to Revolutionize English Teaching with Jolly Phonics

New Delhi, 27th October 2025: Chris Jolly, the creative mind behind Jolly Learning and the publisher of Jolly Phonics, is touring India this November for a teacher training tour that goes across nine cities. The places he will visit include Bangalore, Chennai, Hyderabad, Pune, Mumbai, Ahmedabad, Indore, Delhi, and Jodhpur. The program is planned to turn Jolly Phonics into the best and most used English teaching method in schools all over India.

Along with a lecture about the main problems of teaching English and how to overcome them, Chris Jolly will conduct training sessions led by qualified Indian Jolly Phonics trainers in each city. The program demonstrates how teachers can achieve faster and better literacy results than are attainable through traditional means, thereby ensuring the success of all children, regardless of their origin or gender, not only in literacy but in schooling as a whole.

Chris Jolly began his career teaching in Malaysia before moving into consumer marketing. In 1992, he launched Jolly Phonics, a synthetic phonics-based programme that has become the global model for teaching reading. In the period, he has taken his Jolly Phonics programme to more than 100 nations, many of which have made it a major programme in primary schools. He has received Honorary Doctorates from the University of Uyo (Nigeria) and Bristol University and was awarded an OBE by HM the King in May 2024.
