Crest Audio powers boundary-breaking nightlife experience at MU:IN Bali

Integrator V-Series International deploys Crest Audio and Peavey Commercial Audio solution to deliver the power, clarity and immersive sound demanded by one of Asia’s most celebrated nightlife concepts

Bali, Indonesia – September 2026 – One of Asia’s most distinctive nightlife brands has arrived in Indonesia, with MU:IN Bali choosing a high-performance Crest Audio and Peavey sound system to provide the sonic foundation for its latest immersive club experience in the heart of Seminyak.

Originating in Seoul’s prestigious nightlife scene and following the success of venues in Seoul and Bangkok, MU:IN has built its reputation around high-energy entertainment and the convergence of music, technology and design.

Its name is inspired by a Korean expression meaning “without boundaries” – a philosophy reflected in a venue designed to blur the lines between cultures, musical genres and immersive visual experiences.

Creating an audio system capable of matching those ambitions presented a significant challenge. MU:IN required the high SPL and visceral low-frequency impact expected from a leading international nightclub, but without compromising the clarity, control and musicality required by internationally touring DJs and live performers.

V-Series International Sdn Bhd, Crest Audio’s distributor in Malaysia and primary system integrator for the project, selected a combination of Crest Audio and Peavey technologies to deliver consistent, high-impact audio throughout the venue.

At the heart of the main system are Crest Audio Versarray 112 MK III line arrays, providing controlled dispersion and high-output coverage across the main dance floor. These are complemented by Crest Audio Versarray Pro 215 and Versarray 218 Sub MK III subwoofers, creating the deep and powerful low-frequency response central to the MU experience.

Stone Foo, Managing Director of V-Series International Sdn Bhd, said the combination of output and sonic quality was particularly important for the project.

“For MU:IN Bali, the project required extremely high dB levels while maintaining exceptional clarity and clean output,” he explained. “The Crest Audio Versarray and Peavey CPL+ series provided the perfect solution. We are very satisfied with the final result and look forward to many more successful installations in the future.”

Strategically positioned sound

Beyond the main dance floor, the system has been designed to maintain the same quality of experience as guests move through different areas of the venue.

Peavey CPL 118B+ subwoofers provide additional low-frequency reinforcement, while CPL 10+ loudspeakers extend coverage into supplementary listening areas. Compact Peavey Impulse 8C loudspeakers are strategically positioned throughout VIP seating, circulation areas and other spaces where discreet installation is required without sacrificing audio quality.

The result is a carefully zoned system that allows the intensity of the main club environment to be maintained while providing appropriate levels and coverage elsewhere throughout MU.

System control and mixing are handled by a Peavey Aureus 28 digital mixing console, providing the processing and workflow flexibility needed to accommodate DJs, live performances and special events. Crest Audio PCX 88 DSP provides loudspeaker management, system tuning and signal routing across the installation.

Power is delivered through a combination of Peavey IPR2 7500 and IPR2 5000 amplifiers alongside Crest Audio Pro-Lite 5.0 and Pro-Lite 3.0 models, providing the output and dynamic headroom required for demanding nightly operation.

Foo said the breadth of the Crest Audio portfolio was an important factor in V-Series International’s decision to represent the brand in Malaysia.

“We chose to represent Crest because of its exceptional performance-to-value ratio,” he said. “The quality and versatility of the Crest Audio product lineup enable us to deliver professional installations across corporate, hospitality, nightlife and major commercial infrastructure projects, including resorts and theme parks.

“The integration of Dante, AES67 and high-performance analogue solutions throughout the product range also gives us the flexibility to design the most appropriate and efficient systems for our clients.”

For MU, that flexibility proved particularly valuable given the architecture and differing acoustic requirements throughout the venue.

Akshay Vaidya, Director of Asia Pacific at Peavey Electronics, commented: “We are truly excited to see Crest Audio chosen for yet another prestigious venue. MU means ‘without boundaries’, a philosophy that aligns perfectly with Crest Audio as we continue showcasing our capabilities around the world.

A tremendous success

“The venue presented several exciting acoustic and installation challenges due to its unique layout. However, the versatility of the Crest Audio product lineup, combined with the expertise of V-Series International, enabled us to exceed expectations and deliver an outstanding result.”

The completed system has been designed to ensure the technology supports rather than overwhelms the experience. From the physical impact of electronic music on the dance floor to the more controlled sound required in VIP and circulation areas, the system provides a consistent sonic identity throughout the venue.

For Vaidya, the response when MU:IN Bali opened provided the ultimate validation of the installation.

“Opening night was a tremendous success, providing guests with a truly exceptional audio-visual experience,” he concluded. “We are grateful to MU:IN and V-Series International for selecting Crest Audio and Peavey as the audio solution for this landmark project.”
