Hyderabad, 12 September 2026: As a precursor to Vigilance Awareness campaign, NMDC Vigilance Department, organised a two-day Capacity Building Programme on 10th and 11th September 2026 at Hyderabad, covering key focus areas identified under the guidance of the Central Vigilance Commission (CVC). Around 55 executives from NMDC’s various Projects and Head Office participated in the programme.
The programme featured eminent experts who delivered insightful and interactive sessions on important areas of public procurement, contract management and cyber security.
The inaugural programme was graced by the presence of Shri Joydeep Das Gupta, Director (Production), NMDC, and Shri C. Neelakanta Reddy, CVO, NMDC.
On 10th September 2026, Shri Kanwalpreet, IRSS, Additional CEO, Government e-Marketplace (GeM), conducted a session on “GeM – New Features & Functionalities”, providing valuable insights into the latest developments and functionalities of the GeM platform. This was followed by a session on Public Procurement by Shri M K Singh, Former CMD, IRCON and Professor at AJNIFM, who shared his extensive experience and practical perspectives on contemporary public procurement practices.
The programme continued on its second day with two insightful and interactive sessions. Shri M. K. Singh continued the sessions with valuable practical insights on Public Procurement & Post-Award Contract Management, enriched by relevant case studies and his extensive professional experience. Shri Harish R., Scientist-C, C-DAC, conducted an informative session on Cyber Security & Cyber Hygiene, highlighting the importance of cyber awareness and the adoption of secure practices in the digital workplace.
The programme witnessed enthusiastic participation from executives nominated from various NMDC Projects and Head Office. The interactive discussions, practical case studies and experience-sharing sessions provided valuable learning opportunities and strengthened participants’ understanding of contemporary procurement practices, effective contract management and cyber security.
The two-day Capacity Building Programme formed part of NMDC Vigilance Department’s continued efforts to enhance awareness, strengthen capacity and promote transparency, integrity and accountability across the organisation.
The campaign will continue with various awareness and capacity-building initiatives leading up to Vigilance Awareness Week 2026 and throughout the campaign period.
