3rd April 2024, Agartala, Tripura: The Odisha festival “Utkal Divas 2024” has been celebrated by the members of Odi Samaj Tripura with great joy and vigour at capital city of Agartala, Tripura with kind presence of his Excellency Shri Indra Sena Reddy Nallu, Hon’ ble Governor of Tripura, as Chief Guest of the occassion.
The program begin with National Anthem, lighting of the lamp, offering flowers on lotus feet of Lord Jagannath, santipath, opening state song Vande Utkal Janani performed by the ladies group of Odia Samaj and felicitation to guests.Shri Bishnu Charan Pati, President, welcome the distinguished guest, followed by report reading by Dr R. K. Mahapatra the Secretary, Odia Samaj, Tripura, speech by Dr. H. K. Pratihari, Patron Odia Samaj.
The chief guest addreded the gathering and praised the rich heritage and culture of Odisha and brave deed of Odias and work Odia Samaj Tripura, promoting the culture of Odisha. The meeting ended with Vote of thanks tendered by Dr. Sarat Kumar Das. The cultural programme Odissi and Sambalpuri performed by Nrutyasadhana Dance Academy, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, lead by Guru Harekrushna Barik along with the performances by girls students of Central Sanskrit University, and the children of Odia Samaj Tripura.
The program attended by invited Odia’s residing in tripura, tripura brothers and sisters, students, Odia’s working in tea gardens and general public. About 450 people attended the program.
