Mumbai/Bengaluru, June 2022: The 25th edition of Bengaluru Tech Summit will be back in its physical format at Bangalore Palace from 16-18 November this year after the two successful virtual editions held during the pandemic period. This year the event promises to exceed expectations with a never-seen-before scale and unprecedented global participation. Dr. C. N. Ashwath Narayan, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, IT & Bt, Science and Technology, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka, announced today while addressing the media.
Riding on the success of BTS 2021, high-level international government and industry delegations from leading tech nations is expected this year. The press meet was conducted today to officially launch and acknowledge the participation of Global Innovation Alliance partners for the Summit. The meet was attended by representatives of more than 16 countries and Consul Generals / Deputy High Commissioners from eight countries – Australia, Canada, Denmark, France, Germany, Israel, Switzerland and UK. The representatives shared an overview of participation expected at BTS 2022 from their respective countries and shed light on some potential speakers for BTS. For the first time countries like Italy, Austria, Poland participated in the pre-cursor
event to BTS.
2nd edition of US-India Tech Conclave was also announced by US India Business Council (USIBC). It is expected that the delegation led by USIBC will participate in the 2-day conclave focussing on Deeptech, HealthTech, Metaverse and Start-Ups during BTS 2022.
Speaking at the event on Bengaluru Tech Summit 2022 and Global Innovation Alliance (GIA), Dr. CN Ashwath Narayan, Hon’ble Minister for Electronics, IT & Bt, Science and Technology, Higher Education, Skill Development, Entrepreneurship and Livelihood, Government of Karnataka, said, “We usher in a new era, with Bengaluru Tech Summit celebrating 25 years. Speaking at the event, Dr. E.V. Ramana Reddy, Additional Chief Secretary, Department of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Government of Karnataka said “The Bengaluru Tech Summit has created an unparalleled legacy and the flagship conclave has become the platform of choice for global tech leaders to congregate. The Press Meet was also addressed by Shri Kris Gopalakrishnan, Chairman, Vision Group on Information Technology, Govt. of Karnataka; and Dr. E. V. Ramana Reddy, ACS, Dept. of Electronics, IT, Bt and S&T, Govt. of Karnataka.
The theme for BTS 2022 is Tech4NextGen which will aim to showcase technology relevant to the next generation being portrayed. The countries are expected to participate in the following ways:
